Federal Aviation Administration Branding Guidelines
When I began working at the FAA, the branding guidelines consisted of a color palette and Helvetica. All of the materials relied heavily on airplane imagery. However, I wanted to be inclusive of all employees at the FAA, who comprised far more than the personnel working in air traffic control. I created these branding guidelines for the Office of Human Resources (AHR) to focus on imagery that encapsulated the mission and vision of the FAA without being literal or relying on stock photographs of people. The branding guidelines and the accompanying document templates I designed helped bring consistency to AHR's branding and a new level of professionalism to our communications. The FAA's main communications office liked the guidelines so much that they asked to use them as a model for the entire organization.
